About

Susan Tuberville is a multidisciplinary artist, maker, and community-based educator. Her work draws on individual histories and shared memory. Susan enjoys facilitating collaborative creative experiences and believes deeply that each creative act strengthens our collective imagination. 

Born and raised in the Memphis, Tennessee area, she completed her Bachelor of Fine Art at Birmingham-Southern College and became a certified Art Educator. Her journey in teaching soon led her to the field of international education, where she taught at both the primary and secondary levels in Botswana, then South Korea. Susan later arrived in Baltimore, MD to pursue her MFA in Community Arts at the Maryland Institute College of Art. She currently works in community arts programming and continues her teaching and studio practice.
